Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear to the performance?

You should plan to wear comfortable clothes that are suitable for an outdoor excursion. Make sure to check the weather on the day of the performance and plan accordingly. Consider wearing durable shoes that are fine to get dirty or muddy, and that you are comfortable walking in on lightly uneven gravelly terrain.

You may want to bring sunscreen or sun-protective clothing.

Do I need to bring anything else?

You may want to bring water. The location is not near any stores, and all garbage must be packed and taken back with you. Portable toilets will be provided on the site, as well as benches for people who need to sit. We will have performance guides available throughout the show to help you should you need assistance.

When should I arrive?

Canoe Ticket holders should arrive bt. 5:45-6:15pm. You will be escorted to the North Brooklyn Community Boathouse station where you will be fitted & prepared to board your canoe.

Land Ticket holders should arrive bt. 6:30-7:10pm. You will be escorted to the shoreline in preparation for the performance.

Performances start at sundown - 7:15pm on Sept. 9, and 7:13pm on Sept. 10.

How long the show will be?

The performance will last between 60-75 minutes, ending after the sun has set. You will be given flashlights for the show; we ask that you return them once the performance has ended.

What happens during the show?

During the performance, the audience on land will be guided to a few sites along Newtown Creek as the music and drama unfold. There will be 3 main locations that the audience will be moving through on paths that have been cleared for the performance. We ask that while on the site you make as little impact to the environment as possible and not deviate from areas that are being used for the show. Those who will be observing the performance from boats will be guided by the boat guides to the same sites but in the water.

What if it rains?

Our Sept. 10 outside performance is cancelled due to weather & has been moved inside.

All ticket holders may attend the inside performance at the Amant Foundation In Bushwick.

Amant Foundation is located at 315 Maujer St. in Brooklyn.

The performance will be 4:30-6pm. Doors open at 4pm.
